Printing Powerpoint style handout slides in Adobe Acrobat?

Is it possible to print a pdf file so that two or more pages can be printed on the same page in a similar way to the way multiple slides can be printed on one page in Powerpoint?

In Acrobat Reader: File -> Print -> Properties. There is an option there to print multiple pages.

But this looks like it might be a printer specific dialogue, so it may not work for you. Try that first, there are more complicated ways also .... (such as install *nix :P)
