Seeing as the Quake.ie servers are running (and well) how about a FFA day next Saturday ??

I'll set up a logfile and we can view the fraglist the next day.. any takers ??

I'll bet us CA "muppets" still make a good show against the l33t war heros. Even if we are scum of the earth for killing Irish Quake, JFK, and roll-ups in jeans.

NO WAIT!!!!!

Lets shut down the ffa server, cos it ruins true Quake skills. Do the same with the Duel server, cos it's the same. In fact, lets lock the War server to UKCLDM2.BSP, and that's it. Then we can be the greatest in the UNIVERSE. And when were finished being the best, we can go and play some CA, and remember what it was like to do it for fun.....

Jasus Slosh old man, of course I'll play. Pasting you around a Quake server has long been a hobby of mine.

What I will do however, is a likkle experiment. I have here a good 28.8 connect (200 - 240 pings), and an ISDN connect (60 90) pings, on the same machine. I intend to play part of the day on either connect. The scores I get will provide an accurate idea as to how having a higher/lower ping biases your gameplay. I have no idea why I'm doing this, other than the fact that I can.

Any ideas for a good ffa1 sequence then?


Settings ATM (ta Chaos) are dm2/3/5/6, drop ring/quad, DMM3, 50 frags/20 minutes.

I think mgduel1 would be fun actually...

It's a good two on two level and with 4 to 6 people it would be cool.

mgduel1 ain't the best for over 4 ppl...
everyone just ends up in the RA/RL room

I guess it's kinda like dm6, but that rocks in FFA - it's fun trying to get the b^stard outta that room!!

dm4 added. Sequence is dm2 - 6, I guess the levels id wanted us to have (and dm1 but sure we all know about that one).

And is it possible to have a score system to keep track of all frags by everybody for the whole day? IMO this would be a big incentive for ppl to play!

Not Dm5 pleassse. Either UKCLDM2 or E4M3 instead? And 50 fraglimit like on barrys or a timelimit?
