I see Turbonegro are playing at the TBMC in December. Anyone heard any of their stuff? I read a newspaper article about them and the only thing I can remember is apparently they have a song called "Wipe it 'til it bleeds"...

I have vague recolections of seeing them at Huricane festival earlier this year. I was looking forward to it, I think Tom Dunne or someone like that had been raving about them but they were a bit of a let down.

If you are going to see just 1 more gig before Santa comes out of his hiding this is the one.

Turbonegro doesn't only play supreme rock'n'roll, they also give you a show that will keep you smiling for a week. They actually played Whealans in May,and I can't imagine anybody going home disappointed.

I will however reccomend that you buy one of their albums before the gig such as their classic Apocalypce Dudes from 1998 or Darkness Forever which is a riving live album recorded on the Dudes tour of 1998 (Which ended in the band splitting up)...If you like these, buy their comeback "Scandinavian leather"

For more info on this brilliant hidden treasure, see:

If you dont like the gig,I will personally refund the admission, just let me know!:horned:

Think my Huricane tickets were about 85e, any chance of a refund?:D

Would have loved to have listened to some of their stuff before the gig - that's always a good idea. I heard excellent things about the Whelans gig also.

Just done a little research on their sites... and downloaded mp3s of "Wipe it 'til it bleeds", "Don't say mother****er mother****er" and "hobbit mother****ers" which are all fine tunes...

Time to book those tickets for the TBMC methinks

Hobbit Mother****ers is from the old skool punk classic Ass Cobra...don't expect their new stuff to sound anything like that...

There is also a tribute album called Alpha Mother****ers available with contributions from the likes of QOTSA,Supersuckers,Therapy? and many more...

Check out e.g. amazon if you wanna get some stuff...

It's all in the name of fun...this band is a big doze of humour...don't take them too seriously...BTW,their fanclub is called Turbojugend, and have branches all over the world...be prepared for hords of Jugends dressed in tight denim invading Dublin!
