You'll not pick it up from yer Sky dish as it's aimed at Astra 2, and not Arabsat.

Here is the Arabsat 3A footprint:
    http://www.arabsat.com/satgen/3kuband.html

The channel also transmits on C-band.
ARABSAT-3A covers the following countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Libya, Qatar, Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon, Bahrain, Syria, Iraq, Algeria, Yemen, Egypt, Oman, Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritania, Sudan, Palestine, Djibouti, and parts of Somalia, Senegal, Mali, Niger, and Chad. It also covers Portugal, Spain, France, UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Yugoslavia, Albania, Italy, Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovak, Bulgaria, Turkey, and parts of Romania, Poland, and Denmark.

I would imagine (not sure) that the signal would be too weak for a minidish to pick up. And yes, you'd lose your Sky channels by moving dish.

:D You would know that I am a pro with these things wouldn't you. Anyway, I'll take your advice and won't touch the dish (says this as he slowly creeps to the roof)

I would imagine that a 1 meter dish at least would be needed. I am also in Waterford so I will try out an 80 cm and a 1 meter dish and post my results tomorrow.

    no signal on a 1m dish in Mayo.probably a 1.2m dish would be needed or a 1m with a good .3db lnb

I can confirm that there is no English Comm on this particular channel. I spoke to a guy in Co Cork this evening who picked up this channel with a one meter dish and watched Leeds Utd v Birmingham today and he said that there was no Eng Comm.

I get a 20% signal on this channel which is good enough when the weather is OK.I'm using a 90 cm dish with a .7db lnb. This channel is also mostly non stop movies. Its on in our house quite alot as the wife speaks arabic. :)
