MDaemon isn't connection sharing software, it's a mailserver.
What errors are you getting on the Outlook that isn't working.

You'd be better off getting a low-end Pentium or even a 486 box and configuring it as a linux router doing NAT.

mdaemon is a mailserver with built in internet sharing software(worldclient). As the pop3 server is pop.domain.ie and the smtp server is smtp.domain.ie outlook need a direct connection. Dont have a catchall email set up with the hosting company so mdaemon isnt any good. Was using wingate which worked with xp sharing and 98 connecting..outlook worked to. Soon as switched to xp wouldnt work.

    Worldclient is a webmail interface.

If both boxes are running XP, why not use XP's Internet Connection Sharing?
