Now i kno HW2 just came out but i was wondering if u have cataclysm and have played it to death should u bother with the original or should u move straight to 2??

I luved cataclysm it had a great story and the missions were very clever

The final mission is a real bloody challange and u feel so satisfied when u finally blow up the nagnorak

But i felt left down by the units. Dont get me wrong they were varied and useful but they didnt look the part i wanted huge battleships and the dreadnaught doesnt look at all impressive.


So my question is

IS Homeworld worth getting? Does it have as good as storyline as Cataclysm or is it even better? Are the ships impressive? Are the missions enjoyable?




And the 2nd part of my topic did anyone else check out the cheat to allow massive battleships in the homeworld 2 demo.

What cheat? ooooohh do tell? i know its out tomorrow but playing a 4 player tonight, and wouldn't my LAN buddies be delighted if i brought this up...

Homeworld 1 is far better than Cataclysm. I haven't played enough of Homeworld 2 to make an informed comment. The graphics are better, but aren't really outstanding.

I preferred Cataclysm actually, at least being able to move the barn helped. Homeworld 2 is decent but nothing new, it's like another expansion pack with slightly improved graphics and a weaker story imho. It's not that it's bad, just...where did the years of development go?
