hey there, what i wanna do is get a standard 6x4 photo painted onto canvas. now getting enlarged to A4 for artist to work from ain't a problem, have a top notch printer for that :) but it's trying to find info on artists that's slowing me down.

the picture is of a dog, nice and clear with handy background of blurred leaves/branches.

now what i'd like to know is, if anyone here knows how/where i may be able to contact an artist who would do a good job with the transfer to approx 3ftx2ft canvas or whatever is suitable.

i am in the south tipp area and don't mind travelling in the waterford/killkenny/tipperary regions for this if it can be done right and also i would expect it to cost a nice bit but not so worried about that side of things, just want a good job done with it, after all you get what you pay for.

anyone know somewhere i can go for info on artists in these areas?

    much appreciated :)

go to your nearest heritage/tourist centre, and ask for info on local living artists. And then contact them. Preferably go for artists who do portraits. And even if they don't help you out im sure they could put you through to someone who could.

    good luck
