IOLBB follow Eircom's Installation Offer

Don't know if this has been confirmed elsewhere, but I ordered IOLBB last Wednesday (Wexford town exchange).

Got a call this evening telling me that if they hold off putting the order through until October 1st I can avail of the free installation and free first month rental offer that Eircom are doing.

I'm going to go for it. We've waited long enough for broadband that another couple of weeks isn't going to hurt. Besides, saving €150 can't be bad.

What about us original customers who signed up right away?
Why are we getting screwed over?...are we gonna get a rebate?, a gift?, a higher download cap?, a faster connection?

Dammit...we're being punished for them not having the good sense to bring this deal online from the outset. I guess the takeup rate of DSL has been below targets.

    Why should they?
You wouldn't go back into a clothes shop looking for a refund because they put down the price of a jacket you bought.

If the jacket cost as much as DSL in Ireland, I would.
