First things first, find out why you have tendon problems in your knee. If the cause can be eliminated then there will be no need for a knee support :)

Change the way you walk up and down stairs, that can help your knee too. "Good go to heaven, bad go to hell", in other words put yuor good knee first going up stairs and your bad knee first going down stairs. Do each step one at a time, put your good leg up on the step and then bring your bad leg on that step too.

I'd be careful if the knee support is causing hamstring pains when cycling as if you think tendon damage is damn a tweaked hammer is ten times worse.

If the damage to the knee was done a few days ago (or more, just as long as its not a fresh injury), apply heat to the affected area, tendons have a poor blood supply which means that they can heal very slowly, a little heat helps a bit.

Anyways, would anyone guess that I damage my tendons in my knee recently :)

Oh yeah try taking glucosamine and chondroitin for a few months, its supposedly meant to help connective tissues mend and be maintained. Although I've been taking it for months and still managed to F my knees up. :) Stilll worth a shot.

Boots, its only a supplement. Don't take it if you are allergic to shellfish :)
