FAO: Smokers - ever got a box of 'dud' smokes?

Ok this is the second time in the past few days I've gotten a 20 box of B&H that I can only describe as a box of duds.
It's like smoking Silk Cut Ultra... no - it's worse.... it's like smoking an unlit cigarette.
I actually lit two cigarettes - one from the dud 20 box and another from a different box of 10.... the difference was blindingly obvious.
I don't know what the problem is, but at 6 euro a box it's getting on my tits.... I have to throw out this box now and go out and buy another.

Has anyone else experienced this problem with any brand?
Is there any recourse or do you have to get ripped off and like it?

PS - Anti-Smokers spare me your lectures - I'd like to stay on this specific topic.

When i get Blue they usually have nothing holding the tips to the paper ,my mate works there and says he does it just to annoy me.

Annoying but if broken they get used for other needs :0

Can't recall ever having that exact issue with a pack of smokes. But, in the past, have had smokes that i can only describe as tasting stale.

Another time while ripping up a benny for a spliff, I pulled a piece of hard black plastic out of the tobacco. It was about 2 inches long and half a centimetre wide. Looked like a piece of black tie-wrap, only much stiffer.

Had fully intended to send the plastic back to the manufacturers, but never did get round to it.

At first i thought maybe it was a counterfitted ciggy u bought, cos i saw some show on TV about how some english blokes were sellin cheap fake sigs on the black market, some of which went to shops.

Then, i realised that bensions prolly dont have the same quality control as say, coca-cola or something like that. I am guessing they dont have somebody testing each batch

did u buy both boxes in the same shop?

They're proper store-bought smokes alright, has the government duty stamp on the back and everything... and each box of smokes mentioned above were from different shops.
So today I'm effectively paying 12 euro for one smokable 20-box... that is of course unless I get another box of duds! :mad:
Think I'll change brands for a while or something.

Actually now that you mention it - one of the two dud boxes has a rather questionable looking internal foil wrapping... missing the B&H impressions, but then the other dud box has those.
So that suggests nothing solid

i've had that on several occasions. squeezing the butt as much as possible seems to do the trick or a rizla paper covering the butt should also work

Bring them back to the shop and say they are stale..... they will change them unless you've smoked like 19 of them. It makes no odds to them the Benson rep will come around every month and credit them for returns. Someone brought in a box of menthol cigs to me the other day and said there was no menthol in them, so I just gave he another pack. If they dont do it in the shop ask for a refund, its law, replace, repar or refund......

I got a box of smokes years ago that where stale, or at least i think they where. They where all brown and digusting looking - as if had be soaked and dried but the box was perfect. I got a refund on the spot..

I do know the type of smokes you're talking about tho, get them every so often.
