Channel 274 L!ve TV

What's the story with this? It's new to me. Also, I'm not objecting, but from the kids' point of view, why isn't it scrambled?

is it not rated 18's so that u can parental lock it.

if it's not complain to sky.

*** i think there should be a rating called A for adult so that they can't see porn but they can watch 18's films cos some 18's films aren't that shocking

It is a foreign owned station transmitting from a location out side this country. Irish laws / censorship do not apply.

any channel can join the EPG as long as they pay for it. it is up to the ITC whether or not they are kicked off.

as for the kiddies watching, they shouldn't be unsupervised watching satellite tv late at night

That's the amazing thing about the parental lock - it doesn't work even when progs are rated 18's. I have tested it last night. And who the hell is going to make S€y comply. Comreg has no juristiction even tho' we have to pay for RTE. Logic? Lost on me anyway.

I noticed a few new channels last night - in my innocence I stumbled across 274. There were two slappers (in the buff) throwing paint at each other. What is that all about? I actually thought it was more daft that erotic.

Having said that, I certainly wouldn't want kids watching that kind of rubbish.

It is also a FTA "Free to Air" channel. So, Sky really have no control over its content.

What a load of old tripe this channel is, I thought game network was done on he cheap but this is worse, watched 3 minutes of a thing called indecent propsals and turned it off, complete rubbish, somebody dressing up as a cowboy for money, whoop de doo

It can stay on channel 274 as far as im concerened

I saw blue reviews which is very good to give you a few hints on what to buy;) . Also I watched an episode of Threesome which had to topless sexy ladies doing the business. I think its a good channel for free.

BTW I feel sorry for the people who actually spend over €2.00 to text into babestation.

L!ve tv is probably the worst channel on sky. Definitely. It's been around for about 10 years I think....HOW?? It has pitiful viewing figures and hardly any adverts.

I also feel sorry for the guys who text in to babestation...sssssaps!
Apparently they used to be a lot more risque but they got into deep **** with the ITC because they're not a 'porn' ppv channel per se.

L!ve TV the worst? have you everseen GOD channel or any shopping channels?

as for babestation. i watched one night and they showed everything. it is useless now though

The channel is a reincarnation of a 1990s UK cable channel which was run by Kelvin McKenzie and Janet Street-Porter at various times. It was cable-exclusive in an attempt to attract people away from Sky, but didn't suceed. It was controversially known for its extremely cheaply made and quite risque programming including the "News Bunny".

There has at been at least one book written on the rise and fall of the original Live TV

Uh yes...and as long as there are christians and shoppers in the world, then they serve a useful purpose. Except the shopping channels that have the same pre-recorded infomercial on a loop all day, that is! :-)

Not excatly new, was around in the uk as a cable only channel until 3 years ago and has launched on sat.

as for content, you can see quite alot of frontal nudity plus some minge too!
