I'm about to get a 98 1.9 diesel Golf and I've been trawling the net to find it's specs - bhp, mpg, etc. Google hasn't provided yet, anyone know of a good site for getting this kind of info for Golfs or any other motors?

Almost - it's one of the last ones with the number plate on the boot door - not down in the bumper.
