First open up a dos prompt and try:

    1. ping 192.168.0.1
    2. ping 217.114.166.147
    3. ping www.boards.ie

I had a problem were my 504 kept giving an "LCP no responce" on the dsl line, after ringing NS support they had my line tested and got back to me after 5 minutes saying the line was grand, she then told me to reset the router to factory defaults and then enter the setting once again, it worked.

dont know if that will help, but its worth a try.

Did you set your router to your gateway in Network settings on your PC? also try taking out all proxy settings out of IE when you do that and done set it to use any proxy. Let it use the gateway settings from windows.

just a thought, you are on the same IPrange as the routers network port right?

    IE: 10.0.0.1 =>255

    subnet 255.255.255.0

    Hi,

I had exactly the same problem with this router and netsource.
It appears to be a glitch in the routers firmware when using PPPoE it is not updating the default route for the PPP interface.
Hence you are connected OK, have IP address, but cant access out.
Upgrading to the latest firmware appears to solve the issue. This is probably the easiest thing to do.

Anyone had any joy with a BT Voyager 2000 Wireless, (based on Solwise SAR-715PW) or the SMC Baracade SMC7404BRA ?

Ok, turn off dhcp and save ur settings and reboot.
Next, turn on nat for the isp you setup in PVC.
    Save and reboot.

    Now try :)

Obviously make sure you gateway is set to that of the router's ethernet IP address. After that your sailing.
