    There a few good websites out there.

    www.thingstodo-florence.com seems to be the best all round best site. it gives the current weather, things to see and do, places to eat, drinks etc.

    http://english.firenze.net is another good one.

    How long are you going for?

    Two weeks, Rome for one, Florence for one.

    I had the mini rough guide to florence while I was there and it was invaluable.

    Just watch out for the church in santa croce, women have to have their sholuders covered and men can't wear shorts if you want to go in.

    Can I also recommend Francesco's restaurant in the Plaza Santa Croce. Excellent. If you stand and look at the church it's on the street down it's left.
