I do. It's fantibulous with The Frozen Throne.

you should download it but if you have it log on to battle.net it is to good to miss even the old starcraft is worth a play take an hour down load the zip version you wont be sory.:)

Warez = Not allowed. Starcraft, marvellous though is it, is extremely hard to get back into once you've played Warcraft III for a short period of time. The contrast in graphics is very sharp, you'll find yourself automatically trying commands only to find they don't exist in Starcraft, and the switch from 900 hp to 30 can be disorientating to say the least.

I played Warcraft III extensively and exhaustively for about 5 months, so I haven't gotten into TFT as much as I did with the original. The thrill of a 90 minute 4v4 has grown slightly mundane, although I still love the occasional custom game, Risk and WWIII holding special places in my kidney :)

Story wise though, Starcraft > Warcraft by a gansey load.

WARCRAFT III and TFT is the best ! pure uncut gaming !
But i would go against the download thingy because the game really is worth the money.

Its great to see...... well hear that other irish people share the love for the blizzard games i can never find any of you on Battle.net and just get laughed at by most of the English for being Irish cant hold up conversations with the French or Germans (not fast enough with the dictionarys) and the Americans never chat just game. Anyway i know what you mean with the contrast i keep thinking my units are in vinsible or something still a clasic as is warcraft II never seen 1 though. Whats that 1 like?

I would love to get Frozen Throne. I got 3 when it came out and once I had played through it, shelved it. Anyone finished with it yet? Otherwise, where is the best place to buy it?
    Thanks, iwb.

Hmm, Warcraft III, I finally got around to finishing it off over the weekend and yesterday, it had been sitting around at home for ages.

Firstly, Yes it was a great game.
But what a ****e ending, and not just the final movie sequence, the last 3 levels of the game were 3 of the easiest I've played. I did them all first go, with little or no problems. I mean, ffs, at least have a decent challenge at the end of a game, the final level was a walk over. It's not even as if I'm a hardcore strategy game player, I haven't played a stratedgy game since command and conquer, I'm an fps person. Earlier levels, particularly in the undead campaign, I found more challenging.

Now, maybe on the hard difficulty it'll be much more tedious, but ***, I'm that disappointed with it on normal difficulty that I'm not even going to bother. I may give TFT a lookin when it goes budget.

Bah, stop moaning dave and play it in multiplayer. Invest in TFT too, because it definately helps story-line wise ;)

yeah those games are designed really for multiplayer, the single player aspect of war3 etc are just token games. play it on the net, its ten times better.

So, where do I buy it? It was €30 in Dublin and no stock. Anywhere else where it might be cheaper? Online shop?

Keep practising how to use the keyboard short cuts to seepd things up.

Start games against the cpu. Time yourself over 5 mins see how far you've got... exit and repeat keep doing this till you become proficient at the early stage and then move on to the next level...

multiplayer you basically have to unlearn alot of what you learned in singleplayer, you need precise build orders for the troops you need asap and you need to scout to see what your enemy is doing and adapt your army to fight that, also in multiplayer micromanagement in battle is about 100000000000 times more important than in sp where you just tell your big army to attack, you have to drag injured troops out before they die , use multiple heros efficiently etc...
