this is a new on to me:

    Specs:

    ECS Mini-Q System
    P4 1.7, 512DDR, Gainward FX 5600 128MB
    Win XP Home
    DX 9

when I run a DX game, command and conquer generals, i get a flashing if triangle-like black lightning.

the card and chip are on stock clocks, and DX diag doesnt show the flashing problem. However when I run a DX game, the flashing happens.

    any ideas?

Only time I've had probs with DX games and stuff is when I overclock the memory on my gfx card too much.

Tried reinstalling the drivers? Install the nvidia reference drivers instead of the Gainward ones?

Black Lightening sounds like the name of a porn star. I just said I'd point that out.

try newer/older drivers. that sounds awfully like a bad driver to me. not overclocking too much. Overclocking too much leads to game crashes and lots of white dots in the screen.

its on a standard clock, and im using nvidia's own drivers.

I have a ti4200 lying about, i may swopp em and see if its software or hardware.
