Q-tec adsl router problem

My broadband connection is working perfect but I'm having problems with hosting programs/netmeeting/voice communication servers etc

It appears when I try host a server, the program uses my network ip address (10.0.0.13) instead of my wan ip address.
Its also causing problems when I try dcc send on irc aswell because irc thinks my ip address is 10.0.0.13 when it should be 159.134.103.....
I know the Q-tec router comes with a html virtual server but I've tried everything and I cant get it to host on my actual internet ip address.

    Any ideas?

Entirely seperate, but have you had much look with the routing bit? My PC works fine, but my mate's laptop doesn't connect, yet the LAN element works fine, so he's definetely connected. The DNS servers seem correct too... How is the connection shared on your setup?

[Edit] My problem's fixed. Was a setting on my friend's laptop [/edit]

As to the original - what Q-Tec modem are you using? The 584AA? I'm running that and mIRC recognises the right address for me.
