I probably echo the thoughts of many others here when I say:

    What the f**k is tpeg?

I've seen/heard of most file formats in my time (time not so well spent, as you may assume), but this one's new to me... google can only suggest something about traffic information or the Texas Public Education Grant???

    probably means jpeg.

I assume you want to make the document into an imatge, possibly to paste it into another iamge/typesetting stuff.

Can you elaborate on what you want to do exactly, you'll get far better help if you do :)

well they obviously don't have aclue either.

JPEG is a lossy compression method for images/photos in 24-bit colour.
Tell them to go fnck themselves.
Any way you could convert the document into HTML?
If they can't read view that they shouldn't be allowed run a business.

JPEG is a standard image file format. Most web graphics are either GIF or JPEG format (although there's a marked increase in the use of the more modern (and patent-free) PNG format these days).

I'm not sure why someone would want you to convert a word document to JPEG, but there are two options I can think of:
    1. Screen capture the individual pages, and convert the captures to JPEG, or
    2. Dump the thing to postscript (set up a PS printer driver that prints to file - an Apple Laserwriter driver is usually a safe bet) and then convert the postscript to JPEG using something like Paint Shop Pro.

Either way, it's a tedious process, and I can't say I understand why someone would want to do it...
