MacGyver repeats on Bravo ?

    As there is so little to watch in the summer I thought i'd start watching MacGyver on Bravo.

    Its a program I remember watching bits of as a child, but I remembered little, except that I enjoyed it.

    Yesterday (Friday Aug 29) it started again with the pilot even though they had only gone through 3 seasons of 7 made.

    Do Bravo have the rights to the remainder, and do they plan to show those seasons?

    Oh that's a shame. Wait till they get to the third or fourth episode (the one with the gypsies in Hungary) - half the footage in the ep is ripped straight out of the Italian Job (explains why there are socer supporters shouting in Italian and English for no good reason).

    No idea about whether they have the rights. You could always email Sky @ backchat@sky.com - they regularly answer questions like this (Lisa Burke is presenting the show this month:)). Or bravo.

    That episode is actually on tonight at 19:00 on Bravo and 20:00 on Bravo +1. I watched the early showing at !7:00 when I came home from work.
    I watched to the very end and they don't even seem to have credited the original film.
    However the producers of the original film feel about the new remake, this episode of MacGyver must really irk them.
    Now that I think about it I think they used footage from "Funeral in Berlin" - another Michael caine movie - in a different Macgyver episode. They had "Macgyver" being smuggled into West Berlin in a coffin. It's is just really cheap.
