As a Celtic ABU fan I would have to be supporting United for the first time in my life. I hate Rangers more than I hate Man U and United have a few players I have no hatred for in Giggs, Solskjaer and O'Shea.

i'll probably be up for united, cos i've always had a bit of a soft spot for them ever since the kanchelskis days... but it'd be nice to see rangers progress to the second stage, as well.

ManU. But if it was Liverpool V Rangers I'd be shouting for Rangers. Arsenal V Rangers then Arsenal.

Rangers. I don't follow Scottish football any more than just keeping an eye for Hibs' results - On the other hand I have a strong dislike for Man Yoo.

i'll be staying neutral for both games. probably watch one of the other games if there is any tasty ones on offer on both nights

if it was arsenal v rangers i'd have to go for rangers my hate for rangers if far less than my hate for ARSEnal

eh, no, just plain rivary. As a Celtic supporter I have a lot more reason to be supporting Man U on the night.

BTW I think both clubs are protestant!

i would like to see rangers get to the second round because it would help get scotland an automatic place with the coifficients.Cmon panthoniakos

man u without a doubt. but it will be done discreetly and and with extreme guilt. on my way home dogs will bark at me and when i look in the mirror i'll have no reflection.

dont actually hate man U all that much, just got a bit bored watching a one horse race all the time. they can be an absolute joy to watch when they fire on all cylinders. all that slagging and messin that goes on is a huge (and enjoyable) part of the game.

Would like to see a scottish club do well but could not bear for it to be rangers. Celtics fans got the Fair Play award for being a credit to their club, rangers fans get batton charged in europe.

Rangers V Real would'nt have the same appeal to a neutral than Man U V Real.

    i reckon.

Hmm seems a perfect opportunity to test out my homemade drums of napalm. Although I'd give John O'Shea a shout first.

Hard luck 2day ManU fans :D

As a Leeds fan I can only be up for Rangers. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing that shower from Manchester losing, particularly to inferior opposition. And let's face it, you can't get much inferior than a Scottish team, can you?

Kmart...it's obvious he was talking about Rangers and Man Utd...not Rangers and Celtic !

Man Utd are traditionally known as a Catholic club.
As for Rangers and Celtic it would be good for Glaswegian football if they advanced to the later stages of the CL.

I always cheer for Man Utds opposition in Europe and this is no different - come on the Gers! Very hard game to predict up in Ibrox but I reckon Man Utd will have no problems at home.

Thanks to Celtics results over the last two seasons in Europe, the winners of this seasons SPL qualifies for the CL group stage.

handy choice for me, as a keen manu and celtic man.

come on utd! arsenal beat rangers 3-0, ha ha utd will do something similar, cant wait to see KEANO in action against his rivals

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,905 ✭✭✭bucks73

Same as me. United to win both games.

Al least rangers will have two more uefa cup games. ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Whos up for taking bets that Keane will get at least a yellow, at most a yellow in the first game, a yellow then a red in the second?

    I think its a safe bet :)

It a devil/deep blue sea moment this....I'd love to see Utd loose to a SPL side, but I'd hate to see Rangers win as they may think they're worth a place in the Premiership....tricky....!

    Mike.

I wonder who Brian Kerr will be up for as he was a boyhood rangers fan? Does this make celtic fans have less time for him or do you even care?
I find it strange to refer to clubs as catholic or protestant in this day and age. Does this even matter to anyone anymore as all major teams will have players from different countries of both religious persuasions on their teams?
Sorry, that sentence got a bit too long. :D
