Firstly i did not promote myself to the A-team that was the decision by Spoon and Nog, Seen despite what other ppl like PeeWee say i've been playing well recently.
If anyone doubt's my ability at teamplay fine but i accept critisim from people who have played me in Clan matches etc. If you look at the HIV matches page you'll see that i think i've done pretty good in my time.

The team selection was agreed and finalised by Spoonman the Captain. Nog the B Organiser,and Myself, I got up off my *****and got this thing goin put in the time and considered everything before selecting the starting panal of the team.

Between Nog Spoon [Both clan leaders of the two oldest and most sucessful clans in Ireland and i've been about since the start as well i think were far better in the position to work out which players are needed to make the best TEAM possible than some of the ppl making thenselves heard.


Beast has not mailed me or shown any interest in the whole thing at all hasn't been seen on the servers and as LPB's go at q2 PP and Junk and Shank are just as good if not better ATM in our opinion. Beast will move to A-team if he warrents it. But it's not about single player ninja's. Everyone knows that a Team match is very different, PeeWEE hoe how could you have any idea you have never played in 1 Clan game. Between Spoon Me and Nog we got a ****load of experience at it.

Secondly in the team selection we took into account everyone's best level's. The first game is on DM1 you look at the team they will be very hard to beat on dm1. PP/Junk/Kegs/Spoon. If it was on dm6 then it would be a different selection.

I wish ppl would stop moaning and get behind the whole idea and the team.God forbid we might do well. But it seems to me all some of you want is to see it fail cus you don't agree with selection. Chri*t what team selection in any game or sport makes everyone happy none.

PeeWee get your facts straight before you make accusations at everyone. Its unintellegent and childish.

Comeon lads get behind the team and let it get of the ground and maybe show the rest of the uk and europe that Irish q2 is as good as anywhere.

Thats the story. either come on board and get behind the National Team or do your own thing personally i'd like to see people have a more Mature attitude and say right i'am gonna go out there and play myself in not try to complain yourself into it.

Plus PeeWee do you speck for Beast are you his offical Fan Club leader or what. I'am sure he will understand the decision and will have a more mature attitude than you and like a damm good player would do and go out and make the us have no choise than to pick him.

lets face it. the team isnt exactly there to as a 'arent we great lads' thing. its about winning matches and getting international recognition. on average id say we are better than the english (although they do have about 20 million more gamers than us) so i reckon its about time we put our foot in the door and raided the european fridge (so to speak)

hmmmm, please excuse my Q1 muppetlike ignorance, but would it not be simpler at this stage to organise a competition?

For example, the 'Battlegrounds Survival' thing where teams are random. Give an hour to practise with your team, at the end of a match (and yes, I know an hour isn't much) your TEAM rates you and you rate your team, in a secret ballot (maybe someone could host a webpage with the tallies, and keep quiet about it.) The teams change regularly until a pattern starts to emerge. Then you put together teams of Best vs Worst, Best+Worst vs Middling etc... Sounds complicated but it's a hell of a lot better than this infighting.

And don't forget, if you hope to play on a team, you can't get there by insulting your potential future teammates! Doesn't make for good relations...

Rating could be on a 1 to 5 scale, with 5 being the best.

Tactics
Communication (as in saying when they need help and not losing an area because they want to try a bit of heroics)

actually, come to think of it, I have a page that isn't up to much at the mo'. I would gladly host the tally there if someone would help me out with the form html or whatever it is (I usually just copy a source and modify it). Also, I would be a comlpetely independant party, I don't play Q2 and I don't know any of you so no bias on my part.

Its reading things like this that remind me why I dont bother with orgainsed quake anymore. It seems to me people are always going to have a problem with who gets picked for the teams. But that said its a damn side easier to sit in the sidelines mouthing off. How come none of you Q2 wonders orgainsed the team yourselves ?

Peewee I've no idea who the hell you are, but you may have had a point on some of the thinks you said. Its a pity you cannt seem to do it without bringing it to the level of a school yard. But anyway maybe it would be an idea to play this wonder team against a team of the best remaining clan players. It would one give an idea of how the team handles against another like team, and if people feel they should be in the team they can use demo's from these to prove their point.

Again its just a suggestion, its still up to noggie, spoon and JM to decide, they're the ones who put in the time to get the ball running so its there baby so to speak.

Nah, I can appreciate the problems of picking a team. We were lucky in that CW had just squished everyone at QP so selecting 3 out of 4 of the team from them was accepted generally (or at least noone could openly complain, which is good enough for me).

Teamplay is everything btw. While its very nice to have ninjas its more crucial that you have people who have a grasp of the bigger picture.

What I would suggest is that you use nethouse and put the squad you are suggesting against all-comers. If they bait the bejaysus out of them then fair enough. If a single player causes you problems then watch their teamplay and see what they are like. They might deserve consideration.

Whatever you do dont fall into the trap of complaining that the captain is picking his mates. Of course he is... we're all mates.

Take footy ...to put together a team just win one match or a league does the manager just put his best buds on the team??? No you put the best players together... even regardless of their teamplay since everyone can play on a team ,it just takes practice with that team! A bunch of teamplayers still need amazing individuals to come through for them when things get tough ! It is also the case that some players dont need to be trialed every time they join a new team ? ie in footy would eric cantona have been put through trials if he joined a club after united ?? No because his class is already known...you just put him in your team and thats all there is to it !And you know what people im referring to here (if not look above or in the other topic!)

Im with the Rev on this one,tho meeting in the nethouse,playing the match and still not getting into ATeam might start the fists flying.As for JM,he is one of the better players that I have ever played against and SHOULD be on the ATeam as he's f@cking deadly.If I make the ATeam can I change my nick to Howling Mad Murdock .Or maybe change the name from ATeam to Airwolf as it was a much better tv show

It'll be Q2DM1. I picked these player's because they're good at holding areas. My brother never lets me into his room and my friend has been living in the same house for the past 5 years so he must be good like. I've decided to opt for ONE ninja - that's Bunny. I myself put myself in for obvious reasons.

I took out my own time to choose to take over TGB and like I also like took ages to come up with this team so like no-one bother trying to argue my decisions 'cos like I did all this in my spare time ffs.
