Netsource DSL & NTL residential

I've just signed up to NETSOURCE's SOHO product but I'm just wondering how this will effect my residential telephony with NTL

They don't care who your phone is with. You'll be paying eircom for the line, ntl for the phone calls, and netsource for the internet access

That's not allowed

The voice portion of your line should operate exactly as before. You may have to ask that your CPS is maintained but eircom cannot insist you revert back -that's illegal and you should complain to Comreg

Am....doesn't NTL Residential mean that the voice is supplied over NTL lines/cable? 16 or 32kbps channels afaik.

Have you only sent off the order form Funky Phantom or have you had Netsource check you number for availability/compatibility??

thats what i first thought, then i thought that in order for that to be available, cable internet most be availble, and thats much cheaper and better then netscource.

query: this was before the offical release (aka a tester) and they said they where only offering it to eircom clients.

I'm miles off the beaten track with regard to the NTL network so AFAIK its just standard CPS, just managed to get in before they stopped the residential package, very competitive, saving loads

I've spoken to Netsource and they reckon there'll be no problems, my local exchange was recently upgraded so I just gave them a call, line passed without a hitch
