I flicked to RTE yesterday evening (which i normally avoid like the plague) but i think i saw a program about or called 'Hands' and it was old footage of some woman knitting..???!

excuse me , but is this the reason the TV license went up ?
It annoy's the **** out of me allready they have breaks during the fricking news !

It's a repeat of an old show. They put it on opposite Corrie on the basis that no-one is going to watch it anyway

Hands! :D God I fogort that ever existed and I never watched it even in the days of single-channel land...If they're going to start showing repeats they should show Eamon de Buitlear and Gerrit Van Gelderen progs they were good and showed RTE could do it if they just commisioned programmes and screened them.

someone watched it. i flicked onto it myself and quickly lunged for the change channel button. not all have TV3 for coronation street either

And not everyone wants to watch Coronation Street, I thought the Idea of having competition was to compete?

TV3 do the same in regards EastEnders And Fair City they've never schedule something good up againist them.

I dont think Hands is all that bad. Now knitting or whatever they were doing last night was pointless, but sometimes you flick over and back to see skills that have now gone. The country seemed nicer then.

TV3 have put Malcolm In The Middle in the Monday 8pm slot which could do well against Eastenders on RTÉ1

    Yeah Malcolm V EastEnders.

I mean Malcolm is the only good american comedy on TV3 and the put it up againist EastEnders:confused: I am glad I hate EastEnders.

Also RTE putting New boy Ryan Turbirty on againist Coronation Street on mondays at 8:30. I hope its a good show because I amn't a big fan of Soap Operas I can just about stand Coro and Fair City.

Oh, I'd quite like to see some of those shows again. That series they had examining the Burren and corries up the country (see reference to thread topic?:D) and drumlins and the like was really good.
