WWE On Sky In Mono

    watching the PPV tonight got me wondering why RAW, Smackdown etc. are shown with mono sound while PPV's and live Heat are in stereo. anyone know why? it would be nice for the other shows to come up to date with the most basic of television technology

    Eh, mine is in stereo. But I have SKY+.

    Is this NTL you're referring to? If so, it's their fault. NTL are retarded.

    no, i have Sky Digital. RAW and Smackdown are definately broadcast in mono. the sound difference is so obvious between the programme and even the ads. the sound of the PPV the other night was so good compared to the dull sounding RAW and Smackdown

    Raw & Smackdown are in stereo on NTL too (according to the display on my TV anyway).

    you 2 must have magic televisions and STB's. RAW was definately in mono tonight. i watched listening through 2 fairly big and loud speakers

    Well, I checked again on Saturday and when I pressed the channel info during Smackdown on Sky 1 at 10am the word 'Stereo' came up.

    where does it say if it's stereo or not on Sky1. that only happens on the movie channels

    No, I mean the channel info button on my TV remote. That brings up the Channel Name, Channel Number and 'mono' or 'stereo' on screen.

    oh i understand you now. one of my televisions does that aswell. what does yours say for channel 892, RTÉ Europe. my tv also says stereo for that even though it isn't

    I've got NTL Digital (for my sins) so this channel isn't on the EPG, sorry.
