    Will probably make its way into zsnes/snes9x when its been given the once over. That means no more gfx packs :)

    now all thats left is the spc7110 and the snes is all bar perfect.

    Whats the sdd-1 and the spc7110?

    and isn't the snes perfectly emulated anyway?

    The sound chip (Sony SPC700) which actually a separate processor is a 8 bit sound chip with a 16-bit program counter, but all of it's registers are 8-bit. Even though it is a 8 bit chip it doesn´t generate more than 4-bit ADPCM sound data. It has 64Kbyte memory and 8 stereo channels.

    the sdd-1 and spc7110 were custom chips built onto some later snes carts that acted as decompressors for certain gfx data on these carts. both chips had little or no documentation and no-one up till now could figure out the compression algorithm for the sdd-1.
