Can anyone give me any pointers on how to access a NTL broadband installed on PC from my laptop in another room?
A tenant in my house is getting NTL broadband installed on his PC, so i was wondering if it is possible for me to access the broadband connection from my laptop upstairs?
What peripherals/accessories are needed for this?

    you would need either:

    1 PCI network Card (Desktop)
    1 PCMCIA Network Card (laptop)
    1 Crossover Cable

    or

1 PCI or USB Wireless Network Card (Desktop)
1 PCMCIA or USB Wireless Network Card (Laptop)

you would need to setup Internet connection sharing between the 2 PC's also

I'd recommend Sygate Home Network to set up the network so both can use internet, but i hear good things about the built in iCS wizard in windows. Try tat first.

Or buy a combined wireless and ethernet router and plug the ntl cable modem into the WAN port. Then he plugs into the router and you can use wireless
