    Hey has anybody ever seen this error on a Dell machine before,
    :Windows could not start because
    :Load needed DLLs for Kernel.
    This problem is on a neighbours machine its very strange,Is it hardware or a software problem does anybody know?

    it's more likely a software problem if it said:

    "Windows could not start because
    :Load needed DLLs for Kernel"

    Which Window version are you using?
    Does this happens on start up?

    Seen something like this happened on win98.
    What happened was DLL files were deleted/Moved for whatever reason.

    Write down the missing filename first.
    Copy the missing files from a different computer.

    Or

    Run the Windoes installation CD and choose repaire option.

    Its XP that is running ,anyway after 20 mins wasted on the phone to dell I decided to reinstall windows -pain in the ass but got the problem fixed! cheers for the suggestions anyways!:)
