How far can this be safely overclocked using stock cooling? I'm not interested in spending 100's on super high-tech cooling, i'm a cheapass.

If anyone has better ideas as to what processor i should get that overclocks well on stock cooling dish em out. I want Cheap and Fast and AMD. :D

    Mutant
What type of board and memory(make&speed) have you got?

I had a 2500 to test for an evening and got it up to 2200mhz fairly easily using an old cooler. One for about €20 would be sufficent for high o/c best stuff is needed for extremme o/c

The new Xp2500's will do between 2.2ghz & 2.5ghz depending on luck , cooling & your other components like PSU. Personally i wouldnt be overclocking much on stock cooling. Spend a few quid on a decent cooler & 2.1 - 2.2ghz ish should be stable.
