    i only starting to watch wrestling again after about a 9 month absence or so and when did they get rid of hardcore wrestling.I use to love hardcore matches and the only things that come close know are no diqualifications and no holds barred (hardcore wretling was good in WCW sigh !!!).

    they retired the belt. then they gave it away as a momento to mick foley for him to keep forever more

    It was getting beyond the joke anyway, The idea was brilliant and there were many holy sh|t bumps as a direct result. But when they threw the 24/7 rule in effect it was pointless. It was boring watching the belt change 5 times at a PPV. It was funny for a while, but just like all good jokes, the humour wears thin after a while.

    Hardcore died with ECW, the WWE retired the hardcore title when it was under pressure form Censorship groups in the US.

    Which was a bit of a sick joke really seeing as they couldn't even f'n censor Mae Youngs saggy tits at the 2000 Royal Rumble?

    Yet on the Wrestlemania XIX DVD, Jericho giving Michaels the finger as he's walking down to the ring is cut out (with a shot of Jericho close up in it's place)

    Censorship my hole! :)
