Is it possible for me to approach a German Car Insurance company and ask them to insure me under my car?

Or is there similar laws like the VRT in place to insulate Irish
    vested interests?

    Any insight would be appreciated
    :)

im not 100% sure, but i remember reading something about a year ago and it said that there was nothing stopping you getting your car insured by an insurer in another eurozone country. if they are willing to do it, you can go ahead with it....

google it and see what comes up....
