Im sorry guys, but i havent discussed this with anyone in here, but what are your opinions on the Backstage politics of WWF/WWE?

What the title suggests is back in '96,when Kevin Nash left for WCW,HHH was getting his first push, and michaels was WWF champ. Also this event led to Stone Cold being who(and where) he is today.

I will explain when i have more time in the morning, but if you know what im talking about, please reply!!!!

Basically in a nutshell, the remaining clique members in 96 were Hall, Nash, Waltman (XPac), Michaels, and the recently Joined HHH.

Before Hall, Nash and Waltman jumped ship to WCW, they lost their matches at MSG and had a group hug afterwards. This was pretty much the last days of Kayfabe but it still pissed off McMahon in a bad way.

Hall, Nash and Waltman had jumped ship, and Michaels was the beltholder, and was pretty much untouchable. Leaving HHH to get blasted (as if jobbing to the Warrior two months earlier wasn't enough torture!).

HHH was scheduled to be that KOTR winner, as punishment for breach of kayfabe, he was removed from the card entirely to teach him a lesson and Austin got the push. Beginning the whole Austin 3:16 era.

Of course, HHH would win the following year, kicking off DX a couple of months later. Imagine if there was no Clique? ;)

Basically it,but what i would always ponder is-What if it was HHH night off,and he didn't get punished for it??? Then we'd have no Austin 3:16,and HHH would probably be much different to what he is today!!

    If the Clique weren't around:

HHH probably wouldn't be nowhere near as over as he is now. He'd probably have only gotten out of the midcard two years later than he did.

Austin 3:16 probably would have arrived later, too late for Austin McMahon feud to rescue WWE from the hammering WCW were giving them in the monday night wars.

Hart/Michaels probably would have happened one year earlier, (seeing as Austin would probably still be in the mid card, Hey, this is mid 90s creative, they wanted to call him Chilly McFreeze at the time!), as a result of it happening earlier, the screwjob might not have occoured. Michaels could have dropped the belt to Sid, who then, in turn, could have dropped it to Hart at the 97 Rumble.

Owen Hart might still be alive (Bret always claimed that had he been around, he would have talked Owen out of that entrance).

Vince McMahon would still be doing crappy broadcasting!

Thats all that comes to mind...
