cdrecord and firewire burner

I have a DVD+RW burner inside one of those oxford911 chipset firewire enclosures and I've been trying to figure out how to get cdrecord to work with it in OS X. IODvdServices and IOCompactDiscServices are the device names for the dvd/cdrw in the laptop, so I'd imagine it's just a matter of finding the correct device…
