In the past few nights i have been leaving on my pc and net to dload stuff, but when i wake up the next morning I am disconnected, and I dont know when it happens, or why at that. I was playing an on line game today also, and for no reason it just disconnected, no problem in reconnecting or anything.. just disconnected, and i had to click on the IOL thing to connect again?

Do they have like a 5hr disconnect or something? and if so is there any way of auto connecting back up? and getting kazaa to continue?

Yea it disconnects after 4 hours. I was told its for "security reasons", apparently.
Bull, if you ask me.....how are you supposed to d/l all nite if you have to keep an eye on it every 4 hours...
well, its not exactly a drastic inconvenience, but still..

might have an answer to reconnecting.. go to the IOL BB properties then go to the Optioins tab, there should be a 'Redial if connection drops' option. Ill see tonight now if this works, if it does all is good, cus Kazaa automatically reconnects its self to its server.

all well and good for kazza user's

BUT when your iol disconnect's in game it = 1.the game crash's 2.It COULD crash the server for Bridge commander 3.With a duron it take's age's for the pc to "fix" itself

When my IOL BB disconnects (not sure if it's every 4-5 hours) To reconnect I need to restart my computer (I use WinXP) It just says 'Contacting Modem' or something like that, and stays stuck there.. Until I restart..

    :(

your disconnection probs could be all down to kazaa anyways guys, in the company i work for more disconnections are put down to adware spyware and download managers than anything else, KAZAA plain and simple ****s your registry up big time and does interfere with broadband connections plain and simple, you could try and removing a programme that kazaa downloads when you install it called newdotnet, sometimes it improves things but not often im afraid, weve been refering guys that have KAZAA on there machines to there vendors for months because of the registry probs KAZAA causes

    regards

It may be that the DSL signal gets lost and disconnects. Has happened to me a few times. But i was always at the PC at the time.

I never leave the PC alone when connected to the net.

It is most likely from IOL. They don't want people uploading mp3's, porn and DIVX movies on their service.

Since i rarely use Kazaa, it doesn't bother me. I just disconnect and reconnect just before i go on Xbox LIVE.
