Looked through the gyms sticky, but couldnt find any gym in this area. I live in Enfield, and is looking to start working out again. Any1 know of any gyms in the area? I had a quick look at the gym in the leisure center at the hotel in Maynooth. It seems "ok", but oh horror, I didnt see any Bench- or Squad rack whats up with that? (might have missed it, being on a quick tour, but I doubt it) THe gym was also crammed full of (not being used) cardio equipment. However, there seemed to be decent freeweights. Plus it seems to have very nice swimmingpools/sauna/steambath, which I know my girlfriend would appreciate alot.

So whats your thoughts? know there is a gym in Edenderry as well, but the thing is, I pass through Maynooth going home from work (blanchardstown 45-50 minutes drive), and Edenderry is on the other side of Enfield. I know I could join a gym in Blanchardstown, but I want it close to Enfield, so I can go with my girlfriend, whenever she feels like it. Any tried the gym in Edenderry?

Sorry for post being so unstructured, but head is tired after work, and I just wanna start lifting the iron again

PS. I don't need fancy equipment, just the basic stuff.ww)

Can you not use the gym in the college in Maynooth? The gym has a separate weights room that has recently been re-vamped, supposed to be really good. My girlfriend goes to college up there, I just walked into the gym and no-one stopped me or asked me for college id. Maybe they have a public membership rate?? Might be worth your while looking into it?? Hope this helps.
