Sky Premier and MovieMax are no longer available in Galway on analogue as of this morning. Damnit, there goes the free movies I've been getting for the last two years with a Dublin decoder!!!

I see they've left Sky Sports on though ... what exactly are they supposed to be freeing up the bandwidth for, because they still haven't added the EMAP channels to digital, let alone UK Gold et al.

 I thaught Sky sports was to go first & then movies later on in the year.

Hopefully for some new interactive services like what the north is to get & some more new channels. :D

It still doesn't look like you'll be getting them any time soon either, never mind the new ones which are to arrive in Dublin soon.

It isn't just Galway - it's Dublin and Waterford as well. Analogue Movies are no longer available as a package except on Digital.

Did anyone else get a letter offering to go to Digital to get these movie channels back? As we've got both Analogue and Digital, we already knew that, but that's besides the point...

It's supposedly for freeing up bandwidth for additional channels. I'd say it's more for stopping rampant piracy.

What is going to happen to that freed-up bandwidth is a different story...
