    How can i limit the upload/download bandwidth to my machine?

    Sorry lads, I don't think I made myself clear:)

    I want to stop my machine (well..Kazza) hoggin all the bandwidth on the house's ADSL connection, or at least ensure that the other housemates can maintain an SSH/IRC connection.

    Afaik all our nics support 802.3x(p?) - QoS, but I'm unsure about our router (D-Link "Piece-o-Piss" 504)

    Yeah, but what about for all connections in general?

    Is there any "pay-for" corporate type stuff one must get in order to implemnt QoS?
