Can anyone who buys this mag let me know if they have a section where readers can send in home movies on handbrake turns and the like?

I should have realised I would get that kind of responce from the question I asked

The reason I ask is that I was on my way to pick my son up from the creche on a small counrty road. 2 cars came flying towards me and nearly ran me off the road. There was a muppet hanging out the passangers window of the car in front with a camcorder filming the idiot behind (who was skidding from side to side). I head Max Power "encouraged" these muppets to send in their recordings.

My post was out of curiousity. I hate boy racers... and I'm not one of them.

Daveg, sorry for my sarcastic response, because the same thing happened to me a few months back (only without the camera)

Some guy in a typically crap modified starlet or something doing a "poweslide" :rolleyes: in his front wheel drive car nearly plowed a load of us off the road.

No they wern't lying. I think there is a section called Cruise Patrol where ppl can send in their homemade footage. I think you should complain to the magazine about this incident! Might get a few free issues out of it

Ah, whoops.

Wouldn't surprise me to be honest. Even if the mag doesn't have a section on such manoeuvres, there's probably at least one gang of kids who'd be into filming themselves driving all over the road to show their mates (they wouldn't even necessarily have to be your common or garden boy racer to be into it).

Didn't manage to catch either reg number while you were trying to keep yourself alive I suppose?

Max power Red line and the like are notting more than soft core porn mag,s with a nice fast car every now and again so 14-15 year old,s can pretend its really the car,s they buy it for

Tbh I was so stunned I forgot to catch the licence plate. I rang the cops though and they "assured" me a squad car would be sent out so I'm sure there behind bars now :rolleyes:
