It is rumoured that the competition has disappeared because they could not 'refuse' the offers they were made There is only one dump in the whole County and if the owners of the dump don't 'like' you then you may have a problem.

Anyone else heard anything about this odd state of affairs. There was never a monopoly or a near monopoly on refuse collection in the County until recently and it now appears that one firm have effectively got a stranglehold on the business.

You mean they are the only ones who though ahead and provided a dump? Of course, if you get a licence, you can dump elsewhere (you really need the licence though).
