Ladies & Gentleman Its Time To Revolt

The whole basis in this forum is to discuss the happening's and non Happenings of SKY digital. For Ladies and Gentleman since we
the Irish People have had Sky digital Lavished on us Ny on 5 years nearly now we have had to create a forum of this sort to moan and groan about how badly we are treated Television choice wise. We groan about how we have no BBC channels for so long since Sky was launched here on this the emerald isle of ours. We Still Complain at the fact that we had ITV and Its variations robbed from us two Christmas's past, and The fact we still have no Channel 4 or FIVE.

But I ask you now that you have your BBC channels do you feel you as a person has benifited from this recent event. 15 years ago nobody could have dreamed of the likes of SKY's Ideals.
95% of this country had bootleg cable and our Nations Channels,
People Got on without an over abundance of BBC Channels, ITV channels, Infomercials, an over abundance of news channels And repeats . The fact is everything on tv is Recycled versions of what we were watchin 15 years ago. I switch on the tv on my day off and all I see is repeat after repeat and sychronised commercials .

We as a people have to see the light we have been over run by a industrial information overloads. Sky for instance we are paying through the nose and it gets higher every year to watch tv.
At least and i know Chorus Has been critisisced but they do actually provide quality viewing for a decent price.

After all when you have read this post i hope you whom of which read this realise not all the television and variation of channels makes the world go round. People are dying in Iraq, Famine Has stricken Majority of Africa, along with aids and other deadly disease's so please the next time you do turn your televison JUST THINK.

Ladies And Gentleman I hope By now you have realised The luxuries we hold in life.

I wrote this article On saturday I guess was feeling entirely inspired.

    Thanking You Big Willy

And banged their head on the way...

Chorus have been criticised specifically for providing very poor quality viewing at a high price.

Your article, in my eyes, was perfect until you mentioned Chorus as an alternative. As Shane said "very poor quality viewing at a high price"

Lets see if some more Chorus lovers "come out" :D

This is my reply please let me stress im not a chorus lover, ntl lover, or a sky digital lover I was just saying they provide the basic channels one would need that is all and I 'd like to thank DMC for his kind words on this post.

Don't worry. We did not ever think that you were a Chorus lover :D (an oxymoron if ever there was one).

While I expect everyone is happy that all of the BBC channels are available to us now, in my own situation I would still like to see them on the EPG (not just in the other channels). Having them in the other channels is useless if you use the personal planner (especially for Sky+ owners).

BBC Worldwide and Sky did a deal to get the two main channels on the EPG here. There is no reason why a similar deal could not be struck regarding the remaining BBC channels.

The UTV and Channel 4 situation is one we all know about.

UTV want to be on Sky, Sky say they want UTV to be on, yet they still are no nearer to a solution.

Channel 4 seem to realise how popular they are here but are not doing much about getting onto the Irish EPG.

'Tis all a stupid situation where nobody wins and everyone looses. :(

I have NTL at the moment, Its one of the main things stoppin me from moving to Sky.

I have ITV on a second digibox and rarely if ever watch it. Realistically you can only use one EPG. Basically I have Sky+ and a Big Brother Box :D.

I live in the country where no cable comes near and we are lucky to get a decent tv pciture. That was before Sky.I got two channels RTE 1 and RTE2, we dont even get tv3 but do get TnaG.

Now with a dish on my house i get som much viewing its too good. I love football so we i get sky sports and prem +.

Then there is RTE and TV3 in cyrstal clear reception. The BBC and ITV , C4 and C5 thanks to the guys on here who told me how to get a FTA card.

SKY does cost alot but if you get as much pleasure out of it as i do you are laughing.

When we got Sky we removed our aerial as the picture was crap.

Lets hope i never have to go back to the old days.

Sky has its faults but its still the best thing to happen for me in a long while.
