Both Championships are about ready to start the final stretch now. Me personally I think it will be Kerry or Armagh in the footie. Tyrone looked very good today but I do not think they have the bottle to go all the way. Galway are of course up there but ithink it will be Kerry or Armagh. The hurling should be a Kilkenny Tipp final if they avoid each other and I think Kilkenny will win again. Sorry I dont have any daring outsiders but I just cannot see it happen. What do the rest of you think?

Armagh or Tyrone. McDonnell or Canavan will lead one of them to Sam. Both are on form big time.

I'm going to be brave here and write-off Kerry. They're going to get a rough game and that will be it.
Armagh look well seasoned at this stage and they will be hard to beat.
Dark horses - Galway and Laois.

    For hurling, it's Kilkenny

    Armagh for the football

    Laios - Football
    Wexford - Hurling

But in both competitions it is REALY open for anyone, but I think Wexford have good scoring abilities and Laios have alot of pride, and will go for it 125%

    Football: Laois

    and more importantly

    hurling: Cork

    football: donegal

    ha ha. only joking.

football: Galway or Armagh, if they don't meet in semi-final (can they?)

Laois: let's face it, they're not equipped to deal with Armagh, despite some very skillful players, they're going to be hopped off the pitch.

Hurling: I'd love to see Cork do it, sick of Kilkenny.

Kerry looked poor today, 3 goals and 9 points v.bad kerry defence.

please let someone else than tyrone win the all ireland, im from armagh and couldnt stick it if they won. i dont think tyrone are that strong, they havnt had a tough match in a while, armagh had to go through dublin and laois arent weak either. kerry wont win.

....I agree with the fact that yes we(Tyrone) havent had many tough games, but you try and say that you coulst stick it if we won...its notihng compared to what we ahve to listen to on the Tyrone message board on the hoganstand website and at the football matchs. The main Armagh support are nothing else other than ignorant obnoxious slabbering drunks who thinks its nice to roar in your ear during a match that they have nothing to do with. Did you see many Tyrone supporters wearing Blue and white on Sunday? I didnt see any, where as i seen at least 10 Armagh supporters wearing Green and white..for what reason could you tell me?

You really think we give you stick or anything....jus wait to we bring 'ome Sam!

Kerry havent slipped into 4th gear yet. Isnt that obvious ?
the Laois game was just what they needed to prepare them
but trust me kerry are going to get better and better.

Tyrone are screwed. I expect kerry to beat tyrone by at least 5 points and it will be a similar score line with tyrone getting more goals but kerry with a hugh points haul.

they scored 21 points in an All Ireland quarter final against a team that continued to impress through out the year. To me the Kerry and tyrone game could be the game of the year as I think when Kerry meet armagh in the final ( and they will) Kerry will destroy them and it will be called the biggest mismatch in all ireland final history

Now that laois are gone, it's down to whether armagh can be arsed and who concedes the least goals between kerry and tyrone.
Personally I'd like to see tyrone do it cos I'm a begrudging b**tard.

What do you know ???? - obviously very little -
Now I would have thought that someone from the North would have realised just how tough Ulster Football is!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is the hardest league in the country simply for the fact that there are so many teams on a level par!!
There is always a number of teams that could realistically win Ulster every year............ Tyrone, Armagh, Derry, Donegal and even Down on a good day..

The fact is that Ulster is the best league in Ireland -
Pat Spilane and the rest of them muppets on the telly will have to eat a lot of humble pie this year, just like they did last year. They slag ulster football to the death. "It's this and it's that" but it's never Good enough.

Fact is there are are still 3 Ulster teams in the All Ireland and there could well end up with 3 of them in the Semi- Finals. Also Quite possible of an All ULSTER FINAL SHOWDOWN.

AND -- The reigning Champions are from Ulster.

PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT PAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for an Armagh man saying that he would hate it if Tyrone won - thats just being blatantly small minded and no doubt very very Irish - begrudging others the glory.

As a Tyrone man myself, I was at the final last year and I shouted for Armagh until I had no voice left.

Difference is I'm a football fan and not a Lout.

As for no tough matches for Tyrone :

Tyrone v Derry - Two games as 1st game was a draw. ( 2 Tough games)

Tyrone v Antrim - Comfortable win
Tyrone v Down - ( Two games ) 1st game was edgy and 2nd was comfortable again - But all Ulster Finals are tough.

    Tyrone v Fermanagh - Comfortable.

Tyrone v Kerry - Hardest Challenge of the year and whoever wins brings home SAM - It's that easy.

Now if your still yapping about Tyrone having it easy -- Don't get put out of Ulster so easy and then you won't have to go through the back door.

    Enough Said - I think !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :o   :p

ironbrew when loais scored tyrone started wavin flags!!!!

and johnpaule you are in the minority!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 489 ✭✭ironbrew

Yeah my 7 year old brother being one of them and afaik he only did it because he saw Armagh people in green and waving there flags the whole 5 times Fermagh scored.I agree with Ulster being the most competitive of the comprtitions and having the greater amount of better teams also.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,455 ✭✭✭weemcd

i can still see armagh winning, everyones talkin about tyrone beating kerry, i cant see that happening kerry had problems last time but they will work on them. Tyrone shouldnt get cocky after 2 easy matches. this and last year armagh had hard games, they were all the better because of it and they played their best football on the championship final. kerry are only gettin warmed up comming from an easy province.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 489 ✭✭ironbrew

No, don't get me wrong, Armagh are still THE team up on the pedastool Although i think Tyrone can bring it to Kerry to be one of the matcges of the year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,455 ✭✭✭weemcd

tyrone should be ashamed of themselves. have you been reading in the papers, people are disgusted with their un-sportsmanship. just what ive been saying, i hope armagh meet the basrtards and knock the living sh1t out of them. you never see attitude like that from any other team, in the country especially from their own province.

Football: No doubt it will b donegal ha ha ha ha no way losers its gonna b kerrys year.
Hurling: i hope Wexford coz i liv near friends from wexford.
go on the gooch, o cinneide, moynihan and dara o se, and declan o keeffe. bring it on tyrone just bring it.

    kmart6 good man- some sense.

armagh must have the strongest team in ireland, and the new keeper is better than 10x tierney's.
