    hey,

im about to get satellite broadband put in, and we dont have any sky digital and what not, we currently have rte1,net2,itv1,bbc1,bbc2,chan4,tv3,tg4 and thats our lot!

but, since ive done some research into the sat and what not ill have my dish and a dual lnb, so i can use one connector for the sat broadband and the other for the television,

i understand i can get something like 8 free channels with freeview, my sat will be pointed 28.5E at eurobird, im pretty sure skys bird is pretty close,

ill be able to receive sky new, bbc1,bbc2,bbc3,fashion channel and a few others cant seem to find what and which i can get,

now once all this is installed, im not sure about this but will i need a FTA set top box to be able to receive these channels or what will i need/not need?

    cheers for any help,

    barry

Yes, you'll be able to pick up any free channels on Astra 2 as well as Eurobird as the two are close together.

You could get a FTA receiver (check here for receiver/price) or get a Sky Digital receiver if you ever wanted to get a Sky subscription in the future.

Check here for free TV channels on Astra 2 and Eurobird. Ignore the other satellites listed.
