    hey guys

has anyone else ever gotten upset stomach due to stress, i have gone to the doctor got the camera in my tummie they found notting, they also found no bateria.

To be honest it could be stress i work during the day then work all night when I get home too, I am in front of a computer a hell of a lot and have some worrys sometimes.

This has been going on now a week and a half and my stomach does normally be upset in the morning and I dont feel like eatting.

I went back to the doctor yesteday with the results, I think he things its stress and it will clear out of me after time and if it doesnt go back to him in a month.

I am really starting to worry which may be maken things worst.

If any one ever had anything like this please get back to me.

Get him to give you nexium. Is this guy any good. I had to visit a second consultant before I found someone that had a fooking clue.

The 2nd guy said the bacteria wasn't the cause but just a weak muscle which caused the acid to go up into my mouth.

I started on nexium one a day but now its about one a week or less.

Have you done some tests with different food. Does it get worse with some food ?

You should maybe drink more milk too. It gets rid of the burn and its cheap. :)

I got a bit of a fluke getting the tube in my tummie done so quick I am on vhi plan b and some how.. i got in very quick to the mater private i booked it on friday and got the test results and it done and all on tuesday maybe its all happening a bit quick and i am panicing, I was sick for a couple of days on holidays in santa ponsa but i think that was the amount of beer me and cr8or drank.

He said the test showed no bacteria and my stomach was fine, its funneh the way its sick in the mornings however.

I told him I was in santa ponsa thinking it may have been a bug or somthing he replyed and laughed its not a std i think that was out place.

I think he knew i was kinda worrying.....

a lot of stomach problems are related to stress, and sitting in front of a computer all day and night can zap the energy out of you so your body is drained and not able to cope with minor upsets .....

Have you ever tried a massage...? Very good for releasing built up tension in the stomach ( a lot of people hold all their stress in there stomach). Another good idea would be to go to a herbalist they have very good herbs to combat stomach problems.

Best of luck and hope you get it sorted soon!

I have them all the time when i worry about something.
Its a really sharp pain in your stomach does not stop.
I have been to specialist doctors and they all say the same stress.
Usually what i do when really stressed out take a couple of days of relax. don't think about work.
have nice baths and drink lots of milk to settle things down.
If al else fails remegels not very nice do the job for a little while.

Like hipchick said stress is held in your stomach and to try a nice massage works miracles:)

You may have Ulcers which your Doc should have diagnosed and sent you for the ODG (camera in gob) I have severe Ulcers which get worse during stressful times.

Out of sheer bloody fear of that camera i got myself a decent diet ,fresh veg ,pasta and grilled foods.
Also drinking Milk will help when the pain is severe there are antibiotics to help at the time of the pain but your best of going for a decent diet and a stress free lifestyle.

I rarely get pains anymore due to not giving a fu<k about anything and eating right.

My older remedy when me was young was hash and bottles of coke it worked to kill the pain.
But sort out the diet and dont get worked up over anything thats not life threatening.

Notting really stressing me out i can fix with a quick fix

I work durning the day for a I.T company I like my job i work till 4 pm most days 6 pm other days

then I run a hosting company sometimes thats busy with trouble tickets so I am online from like 7pm till like 12 with about 2 hours off and I get about 8 hours sleep

I broke up with a girl friend a while back I think that was getting to me too.

Maybe it is all just stress I am taken up golf soon I think that should help. Going to play pitch and putt Saturday and doing most of my work durning the day and watching a dvd most nights.

Starting now to try and relax.

    Yes,
I used to have this in primary school. I was a chronic worrier.
You really have to try your best to chill out and stop worrying, I know it's tough.
If changing your lifestyle/job completely is the key to your happiness as you are finding it too hard to cease your concerns, then it should be considered.
The pains are caused by the worrying, then the pains cause additional worry and so on and so on. Sitting in doctors waiting rooms and hospitals only serves to make this worry all the more intense as well as emptying your pockets.

Somehow, I just grew out of this towards the end of primary school as I got more confidence and realised that no-one else cares or worries about half the things I did, so why should I? Now I've finished secondary school and can thankfully look back and laugh at my former anxious self.

First off, cut out heavy and greasy foods like pizza, chips and the like. Eat a few more veggies and fruit.

Get some exercise to work off the stress. Stress is caused by built-up adrenilin (the "fight or flight" hormone. 10,000 years ago it was handy when fighting sabre toothed tigers, but these days you aren't allowed deck the client if he says something you don't like). Swop the (girly;)) car for a bike or go to a gym. Walking can work too, but takes time.

Try to take some time for yourself - you always seem to be on the go.

For a massage try the place in Temple Lane (near the old Netshop, but up towards Centra), Harvestmoon Centre in Baggot Street or Celtic Health Centre in Ranelagh (no extras provided ;))

    Celtic Health Centre
    Ranelagh, Dublin 6

I say I have a lot of adrenilin in me to be honest, and I do seem just to work I kinda enjoy it somtimes but guess its leading to stress. As for the push bike I could do with some exercise I do notting at all to be honest walk from the car park into work I am only 9 and a half stone however but I think its too much computers too fecken things.

Your body can interpret lactic acid in milk as poison (it is the "off" smell from milk -ultimately it is a poison). An alternative might be a yoghurt.

Never, ever drink milk after vomitting or diarrhoea.

It could also cause spine curviture if you have bad posture(???). Kurt Cobain had scoleosis (I think. Curviture of the spine anwyay) when he was young. He had bad stomach pains and no doctors could figure out what it was. It turned out that a nerve was being pinched between two vertebrae in his spine, and this was causing the pain.

This is probably useless but it's a thought anyway.

I only started getting stressed when I left college and started working. Some days its ok, some days its terrible. For instance, this week so far,

monday: woke up at 7, dont have to get upto 8, feeling sick as a dog. Got sick, it's just the stomach muscles trying to vomit but nothing comes up... got up at 8
nothing to eat, went to work.. once I'm working I'm fine and can eat about 10:30, the rest of the day is fine

tuesday: work up at 7:30, got sick. no breakfast...

wednesday: not sick, feeling sick, no breakfast

thursday: ok this morning, cup of tea and orange juice for breakfast

    ...

this week was particularly bad, but I only really get like this when I'm stressed out or have nothing to look forward to except work

Either get a pregnancy test or lay off the booze.

Drinking milk will stop the burn but then it turns into Latic Acid I think it's called then the burn will return...Stay off the milk.

Maybe you do have too much stress, breaking up with your girlfriend, long hours at work, lots of time in from of the computer. Get out and relax a bit. Get freah air and try to eat better and get a lil exercise. If that don't do the trick. I would consult another doctor.:D

    Good Luck TOM

yup Stress will to that nothing like the your life in a crises diet to stop you eating and loose pounds and your health too.

not being able to eat is the way stress can effect your body , and if this is the case you need to reduce and if possible eleminate some of the stress in you life

Sounds like IBS, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, it's a general term used to cover problems that affect the stomach and bowls, and can be caused by stress.

I used to get intense pains in my stomach every time my mum was in hospital, which happened every month or two for a while, and eventually i went to the doctor, tried a few things and finally found that there's tablets with mint in them, calufac or calupmin, ask in your pharmacy, or talk to your doctor, 3 tablets a day for a few days sorts me out every time.

Does anyone know what it is when you get uncomfortable sensations in your stomach/abdomen area, and you get huge amounts of excessive saliva? I've been getting this for probably a year, not everyday, but more so recently, and it seems to hit mostly at night when I'm lying in bed.

Exit - you need to drink more water

I used to get sharp pains in the stomach. Especially when stressed when lying down or ina smokey atmosphere. I went to the doctor as the pain was so bad that it woke me up at night. I was sent to a specialist and i had an ulcer. I was diagnosed using a berium meal and an xray. The specialist put me on a course of anti viral meds and it cleared it up. There may be no bacterial activity involved here especially if its viral. If its prolonged and excrutiatingly painful get to a specialist.
