    Hi,

Just wondering if it is possible to connect my Laptop (Win XP) to my home desktop PC (Win 98). Neither machine have a network card. Is there any other simple and cheap way to connect them. I simply want to transfer files from the desktop to the laptop.

    Cheers..

Use a null modem cable (serial cable) on the com ports and use Hyperterminal (Hypertrm.exe). Slow but functional.
