ola folks tis [BzR]ChRoMe here. Just throwing this quick post up to let you know that my Quake2 site is up and running (although far from complete). Wanted to try and not say the dreaded "under construction!" doh! to late <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> Heh Anyways its just a basic rant/observation page on the Quake/Quake2 community at the mo. I cant gurantee that you will like what you read but its just what I think. Going to be throwing some weekly stuff up like demos . Quotes, Pictures and fun stuff. If you had been around for that day, chrome, you irritating little maggot, you would heard us say to everyone that monday's "show" was just a test run, to test two main things :
1) that we could fit at least 32 ppl on the server without causing major bandwidth problems.
2) that those 32 ppl could hear everything without much pl and without too much of a delay

So, seeing as it was the first time we were trying it out, and one of the lads had gear, we said we'd get wrecked and have a laugh while we were makin sure we could broadcast it properly, seeing as I had only set it up during that day.
The server works perfectly, we know now that we can fit more than 32 ppl on the server, so we will soon start a regular News show with a music lineup, and general commentary on what's goin on. You hardly thought that the drunken 90-minute farce the other night was actually what we intended calling a show did you?
I mean it's one thing to think it was shiite, because we all certainly did when we heard it back the next day when sober, but it's obvious from your hurriedly thrown together page that you have a bit of a vendetta going on there. What's ure problem? " The I give Zero head Club " ?? wtf is that??

I get on with most people in Quake, and am good friends with a large number of them, friends of mine have long learnt to take my comments with a pinch of salt, I'm sure we probably did go overboard once or twice, we were langers, but shiit happens and nobody forced you to listen to it, there were one or two other's who wanted to get in. If you honestly thought that the drunken yelling we did the other night was what we were going to do for this news show, you're stupider than you look. The show is basically going to be what we originally said : news reports, match reports, website commentary and music we like. I don't do a half-****d job of something when I set out to do it, and this show is going to be good. Don't listen next time, it's a waste of bandwidth.

P.S. Dear Cops reading this. The reference to 'gear' halfway down this post means GAA gear, as in shorts + boots and the like.

But Zero had been pretty clear that it was a test run and I have long since come to recognise "gerrup you ****ing leper" as a standard greeting for most of UL, Zero in particular.

To give credit here, Bubbles approached me ages ago with the idea of broadcasting a quake radio show and was working on just such a show (now THAT would get people shouting <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> )

I'll hold judgement till the next few shows but I reckon Zero will do a good job. I could have killed ye for the French comments tho. Ggrrrrr. Just as well they couldnt understand yer stupid bogger accents.

Here's one thing you layabout hippys can look into while I earn tax-euros to pay for yer education.
Can you chain stations together? For example if I set up station here, and you connected to it, could you use your bandwidth to "broadcast" my show?
I'm not suggesting "me" as in "DeVore" I mean in general...cos then you could have guest people with different music tastes and things to say etc. (The idea of pantera over and over interspersed with the muppet show leaves me less then warm and cuddly)
