It depends on what else you already have. :)

The XBox needs an ethernet connection, the modem from Esat doesn't have one, so you need to handle this in two ways:

    1. Change to using some other modem/router that does have an ethernet connection

    2. Use your PC to share the USB modem over an ethernet connection to your XBox.

For 2. you need to have at least a network card in your PC, and be able to set up software such as Microsoft's Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), or something like WinGate. If you don't already have a LAN, then you need to get a network card and a cross-over network cable, to link your PC and XBox. If you already have a hub/switch, then regular network patch cables will do, just plug your PC and XBox into the hub/switch. Then configure ICS to share the USB link with the LAN. There's details up on http://www.xbox.com/uk/live on how to do this.

    1. is easier by far, and will probably perform better. Plus, you won't have to have your PC on to go on XBox Live.

There's a post somewhere on this forum that goes into more details - do a search for ICS or WinGate and you should find it.

    Ciarán.
