Vespa et2 or NRG

Im stuck in an ickle predicament im buying a second hand moped, and im stuck between 2 choices,

a vespa et2 or piaggio NRG.
    Both are 50 cc

The Vespa is a bit styleish,(not as nice as the older models) although ive seen a few plebs on em, and clocks and average speed of about 35mph, Its got a steel frame, as appose to crappy plastic one, and comfy and enjoyable to ride.

The NRG is a bit SCHWWEEEEE mobile, plastic frame, and looks like a wanna be super bike, how ever clocks an average speed of about 45-55 mph, and is generally quite zippy.

So basically is the drop in speed on the vespa worth the comfort and style ?

Keep in mind im buying second hand, and plan to hold on to the bike for about 2-3 years, and area of use Dublin suburbs.
    Any opinions would be welcome.
    Cheers

??? All 50cc mopeds are restricted by law to 50kph (31mph) so your NRG has been destricted already to achieve that speed. You could do the same with the ET2 so you needn't lose top speed by buying the Vespa. It's a lot more stylish and less likely to be nicked. The scumbags don't go for them.

vespa wins every time. Unless you like driving something like an "NRG" and looking like a sham. If you do choose the NRG, take a few hours to practice balancing your helmet on the top of your head rather than actually wearing it. Otherwise you'll stick out like a sore thumb.

yes but the vespa's steel frame, makes it very sluggish, and reduces the overall speed.

Im well aware of the scobe image that comes with the NRG, but after chuggin around on my vespa for 2 months, will i not get a little ticked off, with dirty 16yr olds, pi$$in all over me, on their NRG's

I suppose thats the real question, will i get fed up with the vespa ? and want something a little zippier
(p.s. anything over 50cc is out of the question,Insurance is too high)

    as opposed to ˆ1480 on a 50cc.
I did a thread already dealing with this.

Go with the Vespa substance over speed, It'll probably hold it's value more too and less chance of mirrors and other small breakables bein taken when your parked.

Hey Rymus where do you live and how old are you I have a restricted bandit and it's costing me bout 2K third party before the increase back in june

Kaz - Cork & 22 years old. Thats fairly nasty for a restricted bandit.. I thought they were group 6 (same as my bike).
