netsource pings for games

    exactly what the subject says :) can someone who is using the netsource SOHO 512k package post their in-game pings here. CS, bf1942, ut2003, etc. or whatever the avarage on irish or uk servers is.

    Generally Netsource are poo, check out the broadband ping/download speed thread above.

    It's perfect since they installed the new 155mb of bandwidth Chief. Ping times of around 50 in Cork or 30-40 in Dublin.

    Download speeds are also perfect, the fact ando hasn't posted one single complaining thread is a testament to the quality of service at the moment.

    PS. Jesus chief give an example of current ping times, those are ancient.

    Pings seem to be jumping there a bit - the first time I've seen it do that since the last upgrade to be honest. Usually pinging ~30 (Radox) to CS Server, 40 (jolt/uk2) -> 60 (uk2) to the UK (thats the worst case though since the upgrade). Games like Tribes I ping ~50 to the UK servers (bygames), Jedi Knight 2 about 49 average (bygames).

    Download speeds average 52 -> 55 kb/sec from Irish FTP/HTTP.

    okokok so netsource got a fancy 155mb of bandwidth..... They never told me :), I am just back from Greece though. The greeks would be well happy with pings of 350ms.
