Procmail at the MTA level

    Hey guys,

I'm googling here and I can't seem to find an answer to what I'm trying to find out.

Basically, can procmail be applied (to filter mail) at the mail-server level - sendmail - and if so, where/how would it be applied?

is it just a simple case of setting up a .procmailrc file somewhere? or what would be involved?

I'm sick of seeing the same content coming from the same old "forged" addresses again and again, and the bounce is bounced back to the server. I simply want to just say "f*ck 'em" in the first place.

I think you can put a site-wide procmailrc in /etc, although without the leading dot:

    /etc/procmailrc

I'm sure I've seen this mentioned in the man pages (procmail, procmailrc, procmailex), but easiest way to find out is to try it?
