I'm wondering what companies/brokers I should be ringing for quotes in the next few weeks. My insurance with Hibernian is up for renewal in August. I've always been with Hibernian but rang One Direct last year because the 'oul fella' had moved from Hibernian to them and saved a few hundred quid(paradoxically they insured him with.......Hibernian?? Go figure!) Anyway no such luck for me. They qouted me a €100 more so I stuck with Hibernian. I've heard the AA are good once you are over 28?? and have 5yr NCB?? Is that true. I'll be trying them anyway but can you lot recommend any others to try??

    -29yo Male
    -Full licence for 8 years
-5yr NCB on own fully comp policy and 5yr claim free as named driver before that.
    -1998 1.6 Audi A3 (MV €11,000-12,500??)
-Currently paying €1450 by installment with Hibernian so I assume excluding interest thats the equivelent of a quote of around €1100?? (I think I'll get a low interest credit union loan this year and pay the premium up front cause I read its a massive ripoff paying by installment!!)

Try the Mijag forum. They have a sticky with all the best brokers and insurance companies.

TBH I renewed my insurance in June. I rang around a load of brokers and ins companies and hibernian came out the best. I have pretty much same profile as you - 29 male - 8 years NCB - full licence - Audi A4 and my quote was €1100.
