I ordered my i-stream self install yesterday without the crappy modem(s) supplied by eircom. Gonna go with the D-link 504 jobby.

Anyways, how long will it take these muppets to flip the switch at the exchange and pass on my user/pass to me ?

Got my ADSL filters by courier this morning. Arrive at about 8.30 on my day off work and all. Suppose I shouldn't complain. Lets hope that doing the work at the exchange is just as quick.

Did you specifically ask Eircom to send you the filters?

No, it's part of the ordering process

    when i ordered my i-stream,
An eircom employee called me 30 minutes later with my username / pass.

a day later my voice mail stopped working (i assume that must have been when they flicked the switch). I called them 2 weeks ago and had it put back on after much confusion.

they turned on the line pretty quick, pitty it was 3 weeks before a technition could get to my house and uninstall my isdn / give me my modem !

Hmm my dad wasn't told about them during the ordering process, and as a result, we have no line filters. lol

You don't have to ask for them. If you go for the self install option they send them to you automatically. If you get the engineer install then you don't need them

We did go for the self install option, but with our own modem. They sent us nothing at all. Just phoned us with our password and username. We didn't even know when the line had been enabled.

I went for the self install option without a modem also. I had ordered on-line on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday morning I had received an email confirming the order of "Self Inst Starter (with filter) bus". On Friday morning I received the line filters/splitters via courier. Have not received a phone call with my user/pass. I will ring them tomorrow to see about that.

some months i dont reach 3 gigs,

im not a warez monkey like,
